The final countdown has begun! One more day until CHINA!!! We are thrilled to say the least. In 24 hours from now we will be sitting in the airport waiting for our first flight. The cleaning is done, and the bags are packed.
I wanted to relay a quick “God moment” that we had on Monday. It was just a reminder that God cares about every detail and He will take care of us while we venture to the other side of the world.
Last week the girls and I went to the pool every day. One of those days Ariel left her towel at the pool. This wasn’t any old towel but the one with horses and her name embroidered on it. We called after we realized it was missing and they told us we had to stop in to look for it. The next day we went back (2 days after we lost it) and we were shown 2 places to check for it but if it wasn’t there then they probably already sent it to the Goodwill. We unfortunately had no luck. Ariel was crushed so mommy tells her to pray about it and we will check the next day. We went back…no towel. L
Fast forward to Monday we went to the YMCA at a different time than normal and sat in a totally different place than what we usually do. It was already a hot day (perfect pool day) and Kayli asked to sit under a large umbrella with several other families. She was within 3 seats of me and I agreed. While our little detective was sitting she noticed one of the families had a horse towel that looked just like Ariel’s. She immediately ran over to tell Ariel and I. I told her to watch to see if they spread it out and we would see whose name was on it. Well we were only going to stay for 30 minutes because we had lot of other errands to run. Needless to say they never opened it up. I approached the mom before leaving inquiring where they got their towel and she said “Is it yours?” I was stunned. I thought she would’ve just told me the name of the store. I then began to tell her that we did have one like it and had lost it last week. She told us that the head lifeguard was kin to them and he brings lost towels to them. She did confirm that it had the name Ariel written on it and welcomed us to go get it. She did say that they were bringing it back to lost in found that day…not sure if that was truth…but we were so thankful! It was really neat for Ariel to see that God cares about even the small things. What a wonderful small answer to prayer. When we least expect it wonderful things happen. Thank you detective Kayli!
Our next post will be from Beijing, China!

Praying for wonderful travel and a beautiful meeting with little sweet voice Amelia. And tell Ariel that she will be a great (and I mean great!) big sister to both of them. Thinking of you all and praying,

You should be in the air now on your way to Amelia! Yippie! Sophia woke me up at 5 a.m. (4 a.m. your time) and when I looked at the clock I had a big grin knowing you were getting up to start your day! A short prayer went up before I went back to sleep! Looking forward to hearing from you in Beijing.
