40 days until Amelia's birthday!

We thought it was about time for an update. There are not many words to say other than we are just waiting. By the time you read this it will be 40 days until Amelia's birthday. Please pray with us that we will soon get the words that we have been yearning to hear. We are still waiting for the Minister of Civil Affairs in Urumqi, China to give us a consulate appointment so that we can complete our adoption within the province. As of right now there is no word on moving the children to another venue as I described in a previous e-mail. I do not know the Minister of Civil Affair's name but I do know someone that does. *hee hee* I will be praying for this man fervently once again. Please join us. Thank you for walking through this journey with us. This has been a lot different than our previous adventure. As always God is good! In His perfect timing we will be united with our precious daughter. She will have a beautiful story to tell one day.

Peace

Thank you to all who are praying for us. I (Angela) feel total peace about not going to China for a while. I can't explain it but this weekend the Lord showed me some things and I'm ok with the extended wait. If we were to go right now we would be stuck in a hotel room being quarantined. That doesn't sound like fun. We want to explore and see China when we go. We would like to allow it to be an adventure. Brian's dad taped "China week" from the Travel Channel for us a while back and watching it has made us want to experience some of the really cool things that we could be able to see in the cities in which we are visiting. Amelia is safe right now. Hopefully today we will be receiving our video of her that our agency taped for us. We can't wait! We will get her soon but for now we wait. God's timing is perfect. I'm sure there is a reason that we wait.

Update on Travel

We are a little bummed today as we found out that our daughter's province is still closed for civil affair appointments due to the H1N1 virus. (swine flu) Our agency has been great and will keep us informed as to when they will allow travel.
Please keep us in your prayers. In HIS timing we will be united with our precious daughter.

Visas/Fingerprints

05-19-09-- Our visas arrived today! YEAH!
05-20-09--Angela was fingerprinted today! Brian must go back next week after a cut heals on his finger.

Visas and fingerprinting...

April 28-We mailed our LOA back after signing.
April 29-We mailed our letters off to USCIS to be fingerprinted again, since ours expire on July 2.
April 30-We mailed our visa applications off to our courier in MD.
