Getting Packed!

We are almost packed and ready to go to China. We had our phone conference with Holt on Thursday, July 30.
We have our in-country itinerary and have purchased our tickets. We are almost ready.
Ariel and I are working on Sonlight's core 5 curriculum this year and pulled out the China unit. We hope to have it completed by the time we leave. We decided our trip will be the field trip to finish the unit. We are learning so much about China's history.
Thanks again for all who continue to pray for us as we travel to get Amelia.
Kayli is ready to go and is telling us everything that she is going to teach her sister. :) Both girls have been making all kinds of construction paper crafts for their sister.
Please pray for our health! We don't want to be quarrantined.
Please pray for our safety as the province that we are going to is unstable. We will not be able to post or skype while in the province. Stay tuned as we will try and catch up in Guangzhou on the 22nd.
Please pray for Amelia as she is taken from everything that she knows, and for her adjustment into our family.
Please pray for Ariel & Kayli as they will have another person to share their belongings and for the adjustment the girls will be making. Ariel has been very anxious this time.
Please pray that we will be able to bond with Amelia quickly.
Please pray for Angela's back as she holds Amelia who is several pounds more than Kayli. :)
Thank you again for all of your kind words and prayers during our extended wait. We are so excited to be going in 8 more days!

Going to CHINA!!!

We leave for China on August 13 and will return August 27. Praise God for answered prayer!
We will post more when we receive it.

40 days until Amelia's birthday!

We thought it was about time for an update. There are not many words to say other than we are just waiting. By the time you read this it will be 40 days until Amelia's birthday. Please pray with us that we will soon get the words that we have been yearning to hear. We are still waiting for the Minister of Civil Affairs in Urumqi, China to give us a consulate appointment so that we can complete our adoption within the province. As of right now there is no word on moving the children to another venue as I described in a previous e-mail. I do not know the Minister of Civil Affair's name but I do know someone that does. *hee hee* I will be praying for this man fervently once again. Please join us. Thank you for walking through this journey with us. This has been a lot different than our previous adventure. As always God is good! In His perfect timing we will be united with our precious daughter. She will have a beautiful story to tell one day.
